Description
The 595-acre Lyman Run State Park is in scenic Potter County. Maples and cherries dominate a mixed northern hardwood forest that surrounds the 45-acre Lyman Lake. The park offers two campgrounds, boating, fishing, swimming, access to the Susquehannock ATV Trail by way of the small trail head, and hiking trails that connect to the Susquehannock Trail System.
Geography:
The 40-acre cold-water Lyman Lake offers recreational opportunities and is surrounded by hillsides dominated by northern hardwoods and woven with miles of trails. Trout dominate the lake fishery as well as Lyman Run upstream and downstream. Osprey and bald eagles are commonly seen, as are loons and other migratory birds seasonally.
